These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GuardAngel mobile application ("the app," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using GuardAngel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a parent account. Child accounts may only be created by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor in their care. By using GuardAngel you confirm that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate.
These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Please review both before using the app.
GuardAngel offers three optional subscription tiers in addition to a free tier. Pricing is shown in U.S. dollars and may be adjusted by Apple or Google for users outside the United States to reflect local currency, taxes, and fees.
The features included in each tier are described inside the app on the subscription screen and may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of material changes to the features included in your tier.
How to cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not provide a refund for the current billing period. Your subscription benefits remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
No refunds for partial periods. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, unused features, or accidental purchases. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google through their respective support channels, and are governed by their refund policies.
Renewal price changes. If we change the renewal price of your subscription, we will notify you in advance through the app and through Apple's or Google's standard price-change notification flow. You may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
Certain core safety features remain available to all users at no cost and do not require an active subscription. These include:
We are committed to keeping these life-safety features available without payment. Other features — additional children, additional safe zones, longer location history, AI matching for missing-child sightings, driving reports, and similar — require a subscription.
You agree not to use GuardAngel to:
Misuse of the SOS, missing-alert, or community-reporting features may delay response to genuine emergencies and may also constitute a criminal offense in your jurisdiction.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you delete your account, all personal data is removed from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy. Active subscriptions are not automatically cancelled when you delete your account — you must cancel separately through Apple or Google.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to GuardAngel if you violate these Terms, abuse the app's safety features, or engage in conduct that endangers other users. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you of the reason and provide an opportunity to respond before termination.
Network outages, device failures, OS-level restrictions, low battery, lack of cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity, and many other factors outside our control can prevent the app from functioning as intended. You acknowledge that GuardAngel relies on these external services and cannot guarantee their availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GuardAngel and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, property damage, or failure of any safety feature to operate as expected.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the subscription period in which the claim arose, or (b) ten U.S. dollars ($10).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for personal injury or for certain types of damages, in which case the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.
GuardAngel is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. You use the app at your own risk.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means and update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of GuardAngel after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app's operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
